On January 23, 2025, I had the pleasure of attending an exceptional debate organized as part of the Colloquia Erasmiana series by the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin. The event focused on Dr. Michał Jędrzejek’s book, „God is Dead: Why We Are Moving Away from Religion”, which served as a starting point for intriguing discussions about the current state of the Church, society, and the philosophical roots of the „death of God.”
Speakers and Atmosphere
The panel featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Michał Jędrzejek, Prof. Ireneusz Ziemiński, and Prof. Jaromir Brejdak, whose reflections and insights enriched the debate, making it multidimensional and thought-provoking.
Organization and Inspirations
From an organizational standpoint, the event was excellent. The time and venue—the Natural Sciences Education and Research Center—were perfectly suited to the format and nature of the debate.
